Raw Fleece

Shearing - Skirting - Cleaning

We breed for strong body conformation and uniform and lustrous fleeces.

We shear every 10 to 14 months with the Wensleydales and Teeswaters and every 6 months with the Valais.

We pay very close attention when feeding to minimize vegetable material getting into fleeces and also while skirting fleeces when shearing to minimize dirt and vegetable material in the fleece.

All of our sheep are named and numbered and very close records are kept.  Precise record keeping is an absolute must.  If you loved “Rosebud’s”, or “Arosa’s” or “Oliver's” fleece from one shearing you can request the same fleece the next year.
